Ate Gay’s Family Warns Against Spreading False Information About Comedian’s Condition
ATE GAY – The family of the comedian has appealed to the public to stop spreading fake news claiming that he has passed away, stressing that he is still alive and continues to fight for his life.
On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the family released a statement addressing the false reports circulating on social media about the comedian’s supposed death.
According to the family, they have been receiving messages of condolences and “Rest in Peace” tributes despite Ate Gay still being alive and undergoing treatment.
“PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT HE IS STILL ALIVE AND CONTINUES TO FIGHT FOR HIS LIFE,” the family emphasized.

They also urged social media users to refrain from sharing unverified information and premature announcements about the comedian’s medical condition.
The family expressed how painful it was to receive messages of sympathy while their loved one was still fighting for his life.
“Imagine being in our position. How would you feel if someone sent you condolences while your loved one was still alive and fighting?” they said.
Meanwhile, Ate Gay’s family warned that they would take appropriate action against individuals and social media pages that continue to create or spread false information about his alleged passing.
They also reminded the public not to speak on behalf of the family or make assumptions about the comedian’s condition without verified information.
The family further appealed to everyone to show compassion and respect during this difficult time, emphasizing that spreading false death reports only adds to their emotional burden.
They also encouraged supporters to rely only on updates posted on Ate Gay’s official Facebook page for accurate information about his health.
The clarification came after the comedian’s family released a medical update on Friday, October 30, revealing that he remains in critical and guarded condition.
Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Aducal Morales, was rushed to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center on October 17 after experiencing difficulty breathing.
He was diagnosed with septic shock and acute respiratory failure secondary to pneumonia, requiring intensive treatment and close monitoring in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Although he recovered from the initial septic shock, the family revealed that he suffered a stroke on October 29, which caused damage to the right side of his brain.
The comedian currently relies on life-support machines to support essential bodily functions while doctors continue to monitor his condition.
His family also shared that transferring him to another hospital is not advisable at the moment because of the risks associated with his fragile condition.
Amid his ongoing health battle, the family continues to ask for prayers, understanding, and support from the public.
Meanwhile, Ate Gay also made headlines earlier this October after holding what he described as a “living funeral” with his family and close friends.

The gathering served as a celebration of life, allowing him to spend meaningful moments with the people closest to him while facing his ongoing health battle.
The comedian’s decision to hold the gathering drew attention online, particularly amid his battle with Stage 4 cancer, which he publicly revealed in September 2025.
With the latest developments concerning his health, his family’s appeal against fake death reports has also reminded the public that a living person’s medical battle should not be mistaken for an announcement of their passing.
As Ate Gay continues to fight for his life, his family is asking everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information and instead offer their prayers and support during this difficult time.
