Sen. Chiz Escudero caught the attention of the online community
Senate Impeachment Presiding Officer Chiz Escudero offered private prosecutor Atty. Mae Divinagracia a drink of water during her speech during her impeachment trial on Tuesday, August 25.
It is interesting to note that Atty. Divinagracia’s voice seemed to be shaky as he spoke during the trial.
Atty. Divinagracia appeared as the lawyer on the side of the prosecution panel to submit to direct examination of Gina Acosta’s next witness, Lemuel Ortonio, based on the article in Balita.
Ortonio is currently the Assistant Secretary and Assistant Chief of Staff of the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
“I hope it gave you the opportunity to take some of the throat meds that some of the senator-judges sent you,” Sen. Chiz Escudero said.
“And I hope you can drink some warm water, counsel. You may continue,” the lawmaker added.
Atty. Divinagracia answered, “Yes, Your Honor, in a bit I will be asking for time to take my salabat with me, Your Honor.”

Meanwhile, last July, online social media posts stating that Sen. Chiz Escudero is richer than Heart Evangelista. It has been declared that based on the recent Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth, Sen. Chiz is the poorest Senator right now.
However, this became an issue with people, since his wife, is known for her lavish lifestyle. On the other hand, the Kapuso star has been stressing that what she has now came from her hard work.
