Amid the Issues in PH Gov’t, DILG Chief Jonvic Remulla Announces New Rules

DILG – Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced a curfew for Filipinos who are 18 years old and below as well as the prohibition of drinking in streets.

Amid the war in the Middle East, Pres. Bongbong Marcos has ordered the Foreign Affairs’ department or DFA to talk to Iran for oil passage. Iran allowed the oil shipments bound for Manila. The country is currently struggling from soaring oil prices due to the war that directly involves the United States, Iran, and Israel.

The Malacanang Palace continuously assures the Filipinos that Pres. Bongbong Marcos continues working to help the people. Pres. Bongbong Marcos recently declared April 10 to 16 of every year as “Economy, Planning, and Development Week”.

Recently, DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla held a press briefing wherein he announced new rules that Filipinos must observe. Based on News5, the Interior Secretary announced the curfew for individuals who are aged 18 and below.

According to DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla, the Interior Department will implement an enhanced curfew for individuals who are 18 years old and below and a proof of employment or education will be sought once they are caught in the streets at 10:00 p.m. onwares.

“Mayroon na tayong enhanced curfew ordinances para sa mga 18 years old and below kung wala kayong proof of employment at education… Bawal na kayo sa kalye after 10 p.m.,” the DILG Chief said.

Remulla called on the young Filipinos who usually scatter in the streets late at night to go home as they might be arrested once they are caught outdoors at 10:00 p.m. According to him, non-wearing of T-shirts outdoors is no longer allowed as well unless there is a festival or a celebration.

Based on another post, DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla also warned that drinking alcoholic beverages in the streets are no longer allowed as well. According to the Interior Secretary, it is allegedly one of the causes of conflicts.

“Bawal na maglatag ng mga silya at mesa sa kalye at mag-inuman. Doon nanggagaling ang number one, away,” Remulla expressed.

The DILG Chief already apologized to those who will be caught as they are determined to nab those who will be drinking in the streets. He made the statement during a press briefing held today.

“Sinasabihan ko ang lahat, pasensyahan tayo, ‘pag kayo nag-inuman sa kalye, huhulihin namin kayo,” he expressed.

Previously, DILG Chief Jonvic Remulla also spoke on the anti-drugs campaign of the Marcos Jr. administration.
