People wanted Dingdong Dantes to run for senator
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes almost made it to the top 12 in the latest senatorial survey by research firm WR Numero.
Dingdong has been in the entertainment industry for many years already. From being a member of Abztract Dancers back in the 90s, he was able to find success as an actor. Currently, he is one of the most-valued talents of GMA Network.
Aside from acting, the Kapuso star also showed his hosting caliber. He is currently the host of the game show Family Feud.

The actor also had his short stint in the Philippine government when he served as the chairman of the National Youth Commission (NYC) during the time of the late President Noynoy Aquino.
A recent survey from WR Numero showed that a certain percentage of people wanted him to run for senator in the 2028 elections.
According to a News5 report, the Philippine Public Opinion Monitor’s March survey placed Dingdong Dantes in 13th place with 14 percent of the votes in the 2028 senatorial survey.
“He enjoys the benefit of popularity but of course he was National Youth Commission chair for a time during PNoy administration. He did very well, almost in the top 12,” WR Numero Research Chairman Robin Garcia said during an interview on “Long Conversation” on One News.

The face-to-face survey was conducted from March 10-17 among 1,455 adult Filipino respondents, and it also showed that Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto was in the 5th spot, even though he declared that he wanted to teach after his term, and not run for a higher position.
As of this writing, Dingdong Dantes has not yet released a statement regarding the senatorial survey result.
Meanwhile, the Kapuso Primetime King has a new acting project, which is the action series The Master Cutter.
