LTO Summons Driver Accused of Hurting Gas Station Girl

A driver is now under investigation after he allegedly hurt a female gas station worker in Bacoor, Cavite.

The Land Transportation Office quickly took action after learning about the situation. Authorities ordered the driver to explain his side while placing his driver’s license under a 90-day suspension.

The vehicle involved, a Toyota Innova, was also placed under alarm status as the investigation continues.

Based on initial reports, the driver reportedly shouted, threatened, and physically hurt the gas station employee during a disagreement over a transaction. Because of the seriousness of the incident, both the driver and the vehicle owner were given a show-cause order.

They were instructed to appear before the LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division to explain why the driver should not face penalties for being considered unfit to operate a motor vehicle.

Meanwhile, the agency is also looking into a separate case involving another driver. This time, a Toyota Raize driver was seen in a viral video while standing, with the car door open. The unusual and dangerous act quickly earned criticism online.

The LTO reminded the public that such behavior is a clear violation of traffic laws and can put not only the driver but also other motorists at risk. The driver and the owner of the vehicle were also asked to explain why they should not be charged with reckless driving.

Authorities continue to remind drivers to stay calm, follow the law, and treat others with respect to avoid harm and prevent accidents.
