Elderly Orchid Vendor Looks for Buyers After Alleged Unpaid P500 Order
An elderly orchid vendor was forced to look for other buyers after he was allegedly left waiting for a P500 payment that never came.
Recently, Jean Ellaine Calisang, a Facebook user, shared the experience of the elderly orchid vendor who traveled to Brooke’s Point, Palawan to deliver his plants. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions from netizens online.
According to her, the elderly man traveled to deliver orchids that had supposedly been ordered by a customer. However, the expected payment was never completed, leaving him with plants that still needed to be sold.

Instead of returning home with unsold orchids, the vendor spent time looking for other buyers. To recover some of his expenses and avoid wasting his hard work, he offered the orchids for only P100 each.
Calisang explained that the orchids were more than just plants for the elderly vendor. Selling them is his source of income and helps provide food for his family. She also shared that despite the disappointment, the vendor remained determined to continue working and planned to return on Monday to sell more orchids.

Several people were saddened by the situation, especially after learning that he reportedly walked under the heat of the sun carrying his products while trying to earn an honest living.
The identity of the person who allegedly placed the order was not mentioned in the viral post, and no statement from the other side has been made public.

Despite the setback, the elderly vendor remains hopeful that his orchids will find buyers and that his hard work will not go to waste.
