Family and Parents of a 4-Year-Old Child Who Passed Away in a Private Hospital in Brooke’s Point Seek Justice
The family of a four-year-old child who passed away in a private hospital is now seeking justice and answers regarding child’s death.
Recently, Jarisson Ashmad, a Facebook user, is now asking for help and justice for a child who died in a private hospital in the municipality of Brooke’s Point, Palawan. The post quickly went viral and garnered various reactions from netizens online.
According to the family, the child, identified as Zian, was first brought to the hospital on August 8 after suffering from diarrhea. Doctors reportedly suspected typhoid fever and prescribed medication.
When the child’s condition did not improve and appeared to worsen the following day, the family decided to have him admitted for closer monitoring and treatment. The family claimed they experienced several concerns during the child’s confinement.
Among these were the lack of assistance while carrying the child to a room on the third floor, issues involving the child’s dextrose line, and what they described as delays in addressing their repeated concerns about his condition. They also questioned whether the child received proper hydration and monitoring while under hospital care.
Relatives said they repeatedly sought medical attention as the child’s condition deteriorated. They believe a full and independent review is necessary to determine whether all proper procedures were followed and whether any lapses may have occurred during treatment.
The parents stressed that they are not medical experts and are not making final conclusions, but they want an impartial examination of the facts.
The family is requesting access to complete medical records, including monitoring reports, nursing notes, medication records, and other documents related to the child’s treatment. They have also appealed for assistance from the Department of Health, National Bureau of Investigation, Public Attorney’s Office, and other government agencies to help determine what happened.
Despite their grief, the family said their goal is not to damage anyone’s reputation but to expose the truth. They said they are prepared to accept the results of a fair investigation if it shows that proper medical procedures were followed.
