Gas Stations to Implement Fuel Price Rollback Set This Week

OIL PRICE UPDATE – Some gasoline companies in the Philippines are set to implement a fuel price rollback this week.

Starting Tuesday (September 1, 2026), motorists will have some relief at the start of September as oil companies roll back pump prices after two straight weeks of increases. The price cuts will take effect at 6 a.m.

Shell will cut the price of gasoline by P0.30 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will both drop by P3.80 per liter. Seaoil, meanwhile, will lower gasoline by P0.32 per liter, diesel by P3.83, and kerosene by P3.84 per liter.

Fuel Price Rollback

The rollback is expected to give drivers a little breathing room after fuel became more expensive in the past two weeks. Before the latest reduction, gasoline had gone up by P1.08 per liter, while diesel increased by P2.31 and kerosene by P0.95 last week alone.

Despite the upcoming cuts, fuel prices remain much higher compared with the beginning of the year. As of August 31, the year-to-date net increase reached P54.92 per liter for gasoline, P59.06 for diesel, and P51.65 for kerosene.

The difference in the adjustments among companies means motorists may see slightly different prices depending on the station they visit. Actual pump prices can also vary by location and fuel brand.

Fuel Price Rollback

For drivers who rely on their vehicles for work, deliveries, transportation, and daily errands, even a few pesos saved per liter can help reduce weekly expenses.

The upcoming rollback also comes as a welcome change after the recent run of higher prices. However, motorists will still have to watch further announcements from other oil companies and keep an eye on the next round of price movements.
