German National Seeks Police Help After Pinay Girlfriend Took His Cash and Passport Before Leaving
A German national seeks assistance from police in Kalibo after his Filipina girlfriend, who reportedly left him and took his cash and passport.
On Sunday evening (April 12, 2026), the 24-year-old foreigner went to the Kalibo Municipal Police Station to report the incident. The incident happened at a hotel along Jaime Cardinal Sin Avenue.
According to the hotel receptionist, the man checked in around 10 in the evening with his girlfriend and another male companion who is a local resident of Aklan.
The three were said to have spent time drinking together in the hotel’s garden area. After their gathering, the Filipina girlfriend returned to their room ahead of the two men, who stayed behind a little longer.
At around 5 in the morning, the German national went back to the room, where an argument soon broke out between him and his partner. The disagreement quickly became intense. During the incident, the woman allegedly damaged the man’s cellphone.
There were also reports that the woman called for help, claiming she had been hurt during the argument.
Hotel staff responded to the situation to check on what was happening. Not long after, the woman left the area using a vehicle. She reportedly took with her the foreigner’s passport and around P33,000 in cash.
Left without his important documents and money, the German national asked for help from the hotel staff. The receptionist assisted him and accompanied him to the police station to formally report the incident.
Authorities have recorded the case and are expected to look further into the matter. The situation has raised concern, especially because it involves the loss of a passport, which is an important document for any traveler.
