This comes after the veteran broadcast journalist shared her thoughts through an X post about the 2026 midterm elections in the United States of America (USA) this Thursday morning, November 5.
Karen shared an art card featuring a US flag with text that reads, “Hope is never useless.”
“The power of the ballot lies in the power of the people. You want change? Vote for it. Sana maramdaman natin ito sa Pilipinas sa 2028,” Karen Davila wrote in the caption of her post.
Her post garnered support from many netizens. “This! Nakaka-inspire. Kahit nakakapagod minsan, kailangan pa rin nating maniwala at bumoto,” a netizen commented, while the other one said, “Yes dapat mag isip isip din tayo. We are only to blame for the misery we are in now. The US realized it just now. Hope later tayo na rin.”
Meanwhile, the veteran broadcast journalist admitted in a recent statement that she was traumatized by the criticism she received over the 2016 presidential debate. Fortunately, she was able to deal with the negativity. In that election, former President Rodrigo Duterte won.
