Khalil Ramos Has One Condition Before Doing a Same S*x Kissing Scene
KHALIL RAMOS – There seems to be no limit to the roles Khalil Ramos is willing to explore, especially when the scene serves an important purpose in the story.
Actor and singer Khalil Ramos has made it clear that he is open to doing a kissing scene with another man for an acting project—as long as the scene is necessary for the story.
Khalil stars in the BL-themed movie “Patay Gutom,” one of the seven official entries in the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival (CPFF). Carl Papa and Ian Pangilinan direct the film, and Ian Pangilinan also appears alongside Khalil.
“Patay Gutom” follows the story of a young man who possesses a third eye. Because of his unusual ability, he encounters the ghost of a man, eventually leading to a unique and meaningful friendship between them.
During the grand mediacon and announcement of the official entries for the third Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, Khalil opened up about the project and the challenges that came with it.
The actor, who is in a relationship with Kapuso star Gabbi Garcia, said he is excited about taking on something new in his showbiz career. A teaser for “Patay Gutom” features a scene where his character and Ian Pangilinan’s character nearly kiss, prompting questions about whether Khalil would be comfortable doing an actual kissing scene with his male co-star.
“As long as the script goes for it, I am a firm believer na story is king, and the scene is required to communicate the truth, and that’s good,” Khalil said.
He also revealed that Gabbi has been supportive of his BL project and was excited after seeing the teaser.
“She’s actually very excited nang nakita niya ang teaser. The both of us were very much excited to see it. Hopefully, we get to attend the premiere.”
Khalil is no stranger to the CinePanalo Film Festival. He previously won Best Actor at the second CinePanalo Film Festival for “Olsen’s Day,” sharing the award with JP Larroder for “Tigkiliwi.”
Speaking about returning to the festival this year, Khalil expressed his gratitude for another opportunity to showcase his acting.
“Of course, very grateful. Naging suki na nga ako dito at it’s so nice to be able to ahh be blessed and just, you know, do what I still love doing which is acting.
“I’m very blessed to be part of another entry here in CinePanalo, at mukhang mas malaki ang CinePanalo this year. Nakakatuwa! Mas maraming tao, mas maraming filmmakers. And mas masaya,” he added.
Also part of “Patay Gutom” are Cris Villanueva, Agot Isidro, Mikoy Morales, Gio Gahol, and Erlinda Villalobos.
