Man Passes Away in Motorcycle Crash After Escaping From Group That Beat Him
A 20-year-old man died after a motorcycle accident in Kidapawan City following a violent incident where he was allegedly beaten by a group of men.
Reports say the victim was chased by several individuals and later cornered at a motorcycle parking area. There, he was allegedly attacked and beaten. Despite the assault, he managed to escape and immediately drove off on his motorcycle in an attempt to get away.
While heading home to Barangay Magpet, tragedy struck when he crashed into a concrete post. The impact caused serious injuries, and he was quickly brought to the hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away while receiving medical treatment.

According to the victim’s mother, her son had gone to a bar to meet his girlfriend. The conflict reportedly started when he punched a man who allegedly disrespected his girlfriend. It led to the group chasing and assaulting him.
She believes that the injuries he suffered during the beating may have affected his condition and contributed to the accident. Medical findings showed that a head injury was the cause of his death.
Authorities said that the case is still under investigation. Police also stated that, for now, homicide charges cannot yet be filed against the nine individuals who allegedly took part in the assault. The suspects have already surrendered to local officials.
Kidapawan City Police Chief Lt. Col. Argie Celeste explained that the altercation started during a drinking session, and initial reports suggest that the victim was the first to throw a punch. Investigators are still working to determine the full sequence of events.
The victim’s family has requested an autopsy to clarify whether his death was caused by the motorcycle accident or if the injuries from the earlier beating played a role in the fatal outcome.
