Leyte 1st District Representative and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez told the public that light should be witnessed soon in his post about Sabado de Gloria or Black Saturday.

Romualdez is one of the most prominent names in the political arena in the Philippines, especially these past few months because of his alleged involved in the anomalous flood control projects.

Despite that corruption accusation against him, Romualdez maintained that he’s innocent. Criticism and bashing against him on social media had been circulating.

In his social media post on Saturday, April 4, Cong. Martin Romualdez once again received negative comments from netizens. It was a post in observance of Maundy Thursday, which falls on April 2. He encourages the Filipino people to embrace humility, emphasizing his encouragement to everyone to rediscover the true meaning of service and love.

The official Facebook page of the congressman shared an art card, indicating the observance of Black Saturday.

Romualdez said that behind the darkness, people will soon see the light. “Ang Sabado de Gloria ay ang tradisyon ng paghihintay nang may pananampalataya. Kahit tila balot ng dilim ang paligid, alam nating ang liwanag ay paparating na. Sa katahimikan ng araw na ito, patatagin natin ang ating loob at magtiwala sa pangako ng muling pagkabuhay,” the caption stated.

Then, Romualdez encouraged the public to continue to be strong in their faith amidst waiting.
