An old photo showing packs suspected of “shabu” or crystal meth inside a paper bag of a popular jewelry brand has resurfaced online, drawing renewed attention.

The comments section of a March 5 Facebook post by a radio station in South Cotabato once again blew up as Filipinos online noticed the illegal drugs were placed inside a shopping bag from Pandora.

“Just In! Kotse na umano’y may kargang shabu, naharang ng HPG-SoCot sa Dajay, Surallah,” the 95.7 Brigada News FM Koronadal previously reported on Facebook.

HPG-SoCot refers to the Highway Patrol Group-South Cotabato, a unit within the Philippine National Police‘s HPG, which is tasked with ensuring road safety and enforcing traffic laws.

The radio station accompanied its post with photos from the operation, including the now-viral photo showing the seized drugs placed on a table with the bag that carried them.

The photo alone has since garnered 15,000 reactions, 50,000 shares and over 965 comments from Filipinos, despite being posted months ago.

HPG-South Cotabato (HPG-SoCot), a unit of the Philippine National Police’s Highway Patrol Group, is tasked with ensuring road safety and enforcing traffic laws.

“Inorder Pandora, dumating [pandroga,]” a Facebook user quipped on Monday, August 25.

“Unforgettable moments literal, haha,” another commented.

“Unforgettable moments of their life,” a different Pinoy wrote with a grinning-with-sweat emoji.

“Literal na unforgettable moment,” another commented with a laughing emoji.

“Unforgettable Moments” is the tagline written on the jewelry brand’s shopping bag.

Pandora is known for selling various charms, rings, bracelets, and necklaces that supposedly match the wearer’s personality.

Reports said that on March 4, members of the HPG-SoCat arrested two individuals after discovering suspsected crystal meth valued at P2 million inside their vehicle at a checkpoint.

The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. along the National Highway in Barangay Dajay, Surallah town, South Cotabato.

The vehicle was initially flagged down due to heavily tinted windows and the driver not wearing a seatbelt.

During the inspection, the police found five “jumbo” packets containing what was believed to be approximately 300 grams of crystal meth.

Possession of crystal meth is considered a serious criminal offense under Philippine law.
