Philippines posts P171.2 billion budget deficit in February

— The Philippine government reported on Tuesday a budget deficit of P171.2 billion ($2.84 billion) for February, down slightly by 0.14% year on year.

The figure brought the year-to-date deficit to P5.8 billion, 94% lower compared to the first two months of 2025, data from the Bureau of the Treasury showed.
