Ping Lacson Says Alan Cayetano’s Singapore Trip Is Not an Issue

Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson said Senator Alan Peter Cayetano’s trip to Singapore is not an issue for him at the moment, as reports about the senator’s departure circulated on social media.

The reports surfaced on September 9, 2026, after suspended lawyer Jesus Falcis claimed that Alan and his sister, Senator Pia Cayetano, were seen at Changi Airport in Singapore. Falcis said the two senators had taken Singapore Airlines Flight SQ921, which reportedly left Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila at around 6:35 p.m.

Falcis also claimed that Alan’s wife, Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, had traveled to Singapore earlier that day. He said Lani took a morning Singapore Airlines flight and arrived in Singapore before noon.

Lacson addressed the reports in a post on X on September 10. He said the Cayetanos should be allowed to take a break from the stress caused by the issues surrounding them. He also appeared to criticize Alan by saying that some of the problems he was facing were caused by his own actions.

Lacson then mentioned Singapore’s reputation for reproductive health services. He suggested that Alan and Lani’s trip could be related to health concerns, although he did not claim to have confirmed information about the purpose of their travel.

Despite his reported disagreements with Alan, Lacson said he sincerely wished the senator well if the trip was health-related.

The purpose of the Cayetanos’ trip has not been publicly confirmed. Alan, Pia, and Lani had not issued statements regarding the reports circulating online as of the time of the report.

The claims about their travel were based on social media posts and had not been independently confirmed. For now, there is no official information explaining why the Cayetanos traveled to Singapore or how long they plan to stay there.
