Pregnant Woman Dies After Giving Birth Alone in Boarding House in Cagayan de Oro
A pregnant woman has lost her life after giving birth alone inside her rented boarding house in Cagayan de Oro City.
According to reports, other residents in the boarding house in Barangay Bulua became alarmed after noticing something unusual. They later discovered the woman inside the bathroom covered in blood and already lifeless.
Meanwhile, the newborn baby was found inside the woman’s room. The child was also covered in blood but was still alive when it was discovered. Authorities immediately responded to the situation and ensured that the baby received proper care and attention.
Police investigations showed no signs of foul play in the woman’s death. Authorities believe the woman gave birth on her own without any medical assistance. Initial findings also suggest that she personally cut the baby’s umbilical cord, which may have caused severe bleeding that eventually led to her death.
The incident saddened many people in the community, especially after learning that the woman appeared to have gone through childbirth alone with no one beside her during the difficult situation.
