Vilma Santos released a statement telling her supporters not to worry
Star for All Seasons and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto told her supporters not to worry.
The actress-turned-politician is aware that her fans and supporters are now worried. Because of this, the governor released an official statement amidst the emerging issues and controversies about her as well as her family.
According to Ate Vi, the public, especially Vilmanians, has nothing to worry about her and her husband, Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.
Through a video statement uploaded to her Facebook page yesterday, April 29, she thanked all those who were praying and worried for her.
“Gusto ko lamang magpasalamat sa inyo, sa inyong pagdarasal, nagwo-worry kayo sa akin. Don’t worry, I’m facing some challenges. Depende ‘yan sa mga medyo maligalig,” Gov. Vilma Santos said.
The Star All Seasons also said that as long as she knows deep in her heart that she and her team are serving the people from the heart, and because of this, she told her supporters not to worry.
The actress-politician added that they are already used to people who are “maligalig,” as she knows that she can’t please everybody.
“Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. But sanay na kami diyan. Thank you for all your prayers,” she said.
Then, she highlighted that she would always say that they should not be the problem, but a part of the solution for a better future of the Philippines.
Ate Vi did not mention any names in her video message, but many commented that it was in reference to the issue exposed by Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Leviste on April 24, based on the article in Bandera.
Leviste claimed that some barangays in Batangas were not given P200,000 in aid because allegedly sulking or “nagtatampo.”
