Raffy Tulfo reiterated being neutral
Senator Raffy Tulfo claimed that he lost one million followers on Facebook, just because he is not a “DDS” or “diehard Duterte supporter.
Tulfo is one of the most followed political figures in the Philippines. Before he formally launched his political career, he was known for his public service vlogs, in which he would help people with their complaints and problems.
His career in mainstream politics officially began when he ran as an independent candidate in the May 2022 senatorial race. He got over 23 million votes.
Sen. Raffy Tulfo‘s wife, Jocelyn Pua-Tulfo, is currently serving as a representative for the ACT-CIS Partylist, while his son Ralph Wendel Tulfo was elected as the Congressional Representative for the 2nd District of Quezon City. His brother, Erwin Tulfo, is also serving as a senator.
In a recent interview, Sen. Raffy was asked about his social media followers. He said that right now, more or less, he has 30 million subscribers on YouTube. On Facebook, which he said he was not earning from, he has over 22 million followers.
He revealed that before, his followers on Facebook were 23 million. The senator said that there were those who unfollowed him, but it was fine with him, as he is not earning from it.
Then, he was asked why there were those who unfollowed him. “Good question,” the lawmaker answered, and added, “Simply because hindi tumutugma yung paniniwala nila sa paniniwala ko dahil sila ay DDS, ako neutral.”
He knew that a lot of his followers are DDS. Then, the Senator shared a saddening experience. Sen. Raffy Tulfo revealed that there were those whom he helped, and they can identify them, but just because he is not a “DDS,” those followers unfollowed him, and some would even curse at him.
“Walang dahilan para murahin mo ako, just because hindi ako DDS, mumurahin mo ako, galit ka na sa akin,” the Senator said, stressing that he has done nothing wrong to those people, and that he even helped them.
