Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Graces Rambakan Festival in Ifugao
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President told the people of Ifugao during a festival that many Davaoeños know how to roast crocodile.
Supposedly widespread corruption is one of the main problems in the Philippines now. Several government officials were tagged in the alleged multi-billion flood control scam in the country. It triggered the “Trillion Peso March” which was held twice in 2025.

Thousands of Filipinos joined the Trillion Peso March to protest against corruption and call for accountability from the government. Several members of the House of Representatives and officials of the Public Works department were tagged in the corruption issue.
Amid the flood control mess, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte previously slammed the Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI which was created upon the order of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to her, the commission was allegedly created to legitimize the outcome of the flood control investigation of the government.

Previously, amid the protests over the flood control mess, a crocodile park’s management has reached out to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to donate one crocodile to roast or lechon for the protesters. Aside from it, there was also a donation of 100 roasted cows.
The said roasted crocodile drew the attention of the public — even the Filipinos who are not residents of Davao City, the bailiwick of the Duterte family. A a four-meter-long crocodile-shaped cake was also given by a friend of the Vice President during the protest.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte mentioned anew about the roasting crocodile. Based on News5, she made the remarks during her speech at the Rambakan Festival sa Lamut, Ifugao. The Vice President stressed that she has a pitiful heart towards dogs and she can’t afford to eat them.
“Mga kababayan, kung kayo ay makahanap ng buwaya dito sa Cordillera, marami kami sa Davao City na marunong maglechon ng buwaya,” the Vice President said based on the post.

Amid the ongoing call for accountability, Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco previously expressed his belief that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte will be the one to hold the flood control culprits responsible if she wins president in 2028.
