Sara Duterte released this video statement for her supporters
Vice President Sara Duterte thanked her supporters despite what she described as political harassment being directed at her by the administration of President Bongbong Marcos.
VP Sara shared in a video statement, which was shared on Abante’s Facebook page, that she received a lot of messages from her supporters, and with the large number, she could not answer everyone.
The Vice President also thanked her supporters for continually trusting her despite the supposed never-ending “political harassment” that she receives from the administration of Pres. Marcos.
She mentioned that many of her supporters are feeling stressed due to the impeachment trial and the cases she is facing.
“Gusto kong ipaabot sa inyong lahat na hindi ninyo kailangang mag-alala at huwag kayong ma-pressure,” VP Sara said.
According to the Vice President, many lawyers are helping her, despite her allegation that PBBM has senators, prosecutors, judges, and police officers under his control.
For her, the true pressure is the fact that she can do little to be part of the various sufferings of many Filipinos. allegedly brought by the Marcos administration.
“Nararamdaman kong hindi sapat ang aking nagagawa upang maibsan ang inyong paghihirap,” the Vice President said.
VP Sara Duterte added that the true pressure for her is seeing that President Bongbong Marcos and other officials are just serving their own interests.
VP Sara avoided detention by posting ₱120,000 for each of the three counts of grave threats after the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch had formally issued a warrant for her arrest.
Shortly after she finalized her fingerprints and paperwork on Saturday morning, the court officially lifted the arrest warrant, granting her provisional liberty while the trial moves forward
The case was filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and stems from an online briefing in November 2024, after she publicly declared she had contracted an assassin to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and then-House Speaker Martin Romualdez. For the DOJ, that was a supposed assassination plot.
