Security Guard Suffers Injuries After Being Shot by Suspects at Grocery Store
A security guard was injured after being shot by a man outside a grocery store in Barangay Greater Fairview, Quezon City.
On early Thursday morning (March 12, 2026), the violent incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. In the video, the guard was sitting outside the grocery store along Regalado Avenue when two men approached him.
The video showed the suspects moving close to the guard before suddenly pointing a gun at him.
After a few moments, one of the men fired at the guard. The victim immediately collapsed onto the ground after being hit. After the shooting, the suspects quickly grabbed the guard’s firearm and ran away from the scene.
Despite his injury, the guard managed to stand up and slowly walk inside the grocery store while waiting for help. People inside the store were shocked by what had happened.
A witness who was inside the grocery store at the time said he heard a loud gunshot and became alarmed. When he checked what was happening outside, he saw the guard already sitting on the ground after being shot by the two suspects.
The witness quickly contacted the police to report the incident. At the same time, people nearby tried to help the injured guard.
A tricycle driver also assisted in bringing the victim to the hospital so he could receive immediate medical treatment. Authorities said the guard is currently recovering from his injuries.
Initial information suggested that the suspects may have been attempting to disarm the guard. During the confrontation, the guard tried to resist, but the suspects were already pointing a gun at him, which led to the shooting.
Police authorities are now conducting follow-up operations to identify and locate the suspects involved in the attack.
