WALANG PASOK SEPTEMBER 2, 2026 – Classes have been suspended in several areas as Habagat continues to bring inclement weather. See the updated list of affected LGUs.
According to an update, it has been reported that the presence of three tropical depressions, including “Pilandok,” is expected to bring occasional to heavy rains across large parts of Luzon and western Visayas. While remaining a tropical depression inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), “Pilandok” is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon or “Habagat,” along with two other tropical depressions.
With the expected effects, several LGUs in the country announced class suspensions.

Meanwhile, an estimated 8 million people across the Philippines have been affected by the enhanced southwest monsoon, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The weather disturbances have caused widespread impacts in several parts of the country, prompting authorities and local governments to respond to affected communities. The NDRRMC continues to monitor the situation as the Habagat and tropical weather systems bring rains to various areas.
