2 Alleged Carnappers Arrested After Stealing Student’s Motorcycle in Calamba
Two alleged carnappers were arrested during a police operation in Calamba after stealing a student’s motorcycle.
On early Wednesday morning (May 6, 2026), two men were arrested during a police operation in Barangay Palingon, Calamba City, Laguna after they allegedly stole a motorcycle owned by a 19-year-old student.
According to Police Lieutenant Rogel Aldabe, chief investigator of the Calamba Police, the student went to their office to report that his motorcycle had been taken while he was eating at a fast-food restaurant in Barangay Parian around 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

The victim reportedly realized that both his motorcycle and its key were missing after finishing his meal. Thinking he may have accidentally left the key somewhere, he quickly sought help from the police station.
Authorities immediately assisted the student and started reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas.
Police officers traced the motorcycle’s route from Barangay Poblacion toward Aplaya and later to Barangays Linga and Palingon. After spotting the stolen motorcycle parked in the area, officers requested backup assistance, including members of the SWAT team, to locate the suspects.
Authorities first arrested a man who allegedly bought the stolen motorcycle. During questioning, he pointed to another suspect believed to be the actual thief. Police later arrested the second suspect, who was reportedly from San Pedro, Laguna.
The stolen motorcycle was successfully recovered from the suspects. Police also recovered a bag containing several ORCR documents believed to belong to other stolen motorcycles that may have already been sold in different areas.
Further investigation revealed that one of the suspects already had several subpoenas from the court linked to previous motorcycle theft cases across Laguna.
Police are now encouraging other motorcycle owners who lost their vehicles to visit the station, as the suspects may also be connected to other carnapping incidents.
“Nananwagan po kami doon sa mga nawalan ng motor na maari kayon pumunta at siya po ang posibleng nagnakaw ng motor niyo. Ang modus nila talaga ang mag-ikot palakad lakad nag-aabang sa mga mararaming tao na kung saan bababa ang ating mga riders, naiwan ang mga susi pagtalikod sasakyan agad ang mga riders na ito,” Police Lieutenant Rogel Aldab said.
Authorities also reminded riders to always remove their keys, lock the handlebars, and add extra security locks whenever leaving their motorcycles unattended.
The suspects are currently detained at the Calamba Police Station and are facing charges for violating the Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
