Young Girl Lost Her Life After Being Run Over by SUV While on Her Way to Buy Biscuits
A four-year-old girl lost her life in a road accident while on her way to buy biscuits from a nearby store in Pasig City.
According to the child’s mother, her daughter had asked for permission to buy biscuits because she was hungry. Believing the store was close by, she allowed the child to go out but reminded her not to wander far from home.
CCTV footage showed the young girl attempting to cross a narrow road in in Barangay Bambang. She was seen stopping briefly to let a motorcycle pass in front of her. After the motorcycle went by, she started running across the street.

An SUV approaching from the opposite side struck and ran over her. The impact left the child lying on the road while the SUV continued moving forward. After a few moments, people in the area noticed what had happened and rushed to the scene.
The child’s mother also arrived and was devastated upon seeing the situation. According to barangay officials, someone chased after the SUV and informed the driver that a child had been hit. Upon learning about the accident, the driver stopped and returned to the scene. The child was then placed inside the vehicle and rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
“Sabi niya bibili siya ng biskwit. Sabi ko, ‘Sige, diyan lang, huwag kang lalayo. Tapos ayun, minuto lang ang tinagal ganun na ‘yung nangyari. Sobra-sobra ‘yung sakit,” she said.
Despite efforts to save her, the young girl later passed away at the hospital. The grieving mother shared that everything happened within only a few minutes. She said she never imagined that allowing her daughter to step outside for a short while would end in such a painful loss.
A barangay security officer explained that a road hump near the area may have affected the driver’s view, possibly making it difficult to immediately notice the child. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
