Mayor Leni Robredo had a special guest in Naga just recently
Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo held a Christmas outreach activity in Naga City, and she was joined by BINI Mikha Lim in bringing food, toys, and holiday cheer to children.
Mayor Leni is one of the most admired female politicians in the Philippines. After becoming the 14th vice president of the Philippines, she decided to return to the local political scene.
As early as this year, her supporters have been urging her to return to the national level, to run for president in the 2028 elections. To recall, Robredo was asked about her plans for the next national elections.
She said that she just wanted to stay in Naga. For her, the national politics have become messy. This saddened her supporters, but they were still hopeful that Robredo’s mind would change. Her former running-mate, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, even urged the public to persuade Robredo to run.
Just recently, one of Mayor Leni Robredo’s supporters visited Naga City. Based on the article in the Inquirer, BINI Mikha joined the Christmas outreach program of the mayor. They distributed “Pamaskong Handog” to children in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña Zone 1.
The official Facebook page of the former vice president shared photos taken during the event.
“Kasama ko si BINI Mikha na nagpasaya sa maraming bata sa Zone 1, Concepcion Pequeña (I was with BINI Mikha, who made many children happy in Zone 1, Concepcion Pequeña),” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Mikha Lim is a member of the P-pop group, BINI, which is also known as the Nation’s Girl Group. This year, they released an album and are set to perform at Coachella in 2026.
The mayor also shared that this kind of program has become an annual tradition for their family. Her late husband, former Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo, started this tradition.
