The DILG even announced a P10 million-reward for information that could lead to the arrest of Atong Ang. According to Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla then, they are confident that the wanted businessman is still in the Philippines.

Last January 17, a court in Laguna released another arrest warrant against Ang and he is now allegedly a “fugitive from justice”. However, Ang was advised by his lawyer not to surrender until they have used up all legal remedies that are available to them.
Amid the manhunt operation to search for Atong Ang, the DILG recently gave an update on his possible whereabouts. According to ABS-CBN News, the wanted businessman is possibly either in Cambodia or Thailand right now.

Based on the post, DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla spoke on the possibility that Atong Ang is either in Cambodia or Thailand now after learning from whistleblower Julie Patidongan that the online sabong operates in Cambodia. The Interior Secretary stressed that they are still verifying the information.
Previously, the DOJ reacted to the advice of Atong Ang’s lawyer to the wanted businessman not to surrender to the authorities.
