Gas Stations to Impose Big-Time Oil Price Hike Starting This Week
FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Several gasoline stations are expected to implement another big-time oil price hike starting this week.
Starting Tuesday (September 15, 2026), Filipino motorists across the country will once again have to spend more on fuel as another huge price increase is set to take effect on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The Department of Energy announced that gasoline prices are expected to climb by P5.68 per liter, while diesel may increase by P4.31 per liter. Kerosene users are also expected to feel the impact, with prices projected to rise by P4.62 per liter.

The upcoming adjustment follows last week’s substantial increase, making it the second consecutive week of major fuel price hikes. The continued rise in international oil prices has been cited as the primary reason behind the latest increase, adding more pressure on motorists, commuters, and businesses that depend heavily on transportation.
Several oil companies have already released their advisories for the scheduled adjustment. Petro Gazz and Seaoil announced increases that closely match the DOE estimates.
Meanwhile, Shell will implement slightly higher adjustments for gasoline and diesel, while Unioil has also confirmed increases for both products. The new prices are scheduled to take effect at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

The latest adjustment is expected to affect daily transportation costs, particularly for motorists who rely on private vehicles for work and travel. Public utility operators and delivery services may also feel the impact as fuel expenses continue to rise.
Data from the oil industry show that fuel prices have already recorded significant increases since the start of the year. After the latest adjustment, year-to-date net increases are expected to reach P59.32 per liter for gasoline, P60.46 per liter for diesel, and P53.45 per liter for kerosene.
