Multiple Complaints Filed Against Rider & Passenger Over Alleged Attack on Child
A motorcycle rider and his female passenger are now facing several complaints after they were accused of hurting a child in Antipolo.
On Monday (September 21, 2026), the child’s mother, Analyn Flores and her 8-year-old daughter had just come from a supermarket and stopped by a nearby coconut juice stall before heading home.
Flores said they had to pass through an area where tricycles were lined up and a motorcycle was blocking part of the way along M.L. Quezon Extension in Barangay Dalig, Antipolo City. Her daughter politely asked the rider if she could move the motorcycle so they could pass.
However, the rider allegedly responded in a rude and angry manner, which led to an argument between him and the child’s mother.
After the exchange, Flores, her daughter, and two other companions boarded a tricycle to go home. They were surprised when the rider and his passenger allegedly followed them on their motorcycle.
The pair reportedly shouted insults and repeatedly challenged Flores to get off the tricycle. When she refused, the rider allegedly threw an object at the vehicle. The object struck the 8-year-old girl, causing an injury to her head.
The child later received medical treatment and needed stitches for her wound. Because of the injury, she has also been unable to attend school.
Police authorities identified both the rider and his passenger, who are residents of the same barangay. According to Antipolo Police Community Precinct 2 Commander Police Captain Carlo Tamondong, the two were expected to surrender after police received information about their intention to do so. However, they did not appear before authorities.
Several complaints have already been filed against them before the prosecutor’s office. These include charges related to physical abuse under Republic Act 7610, a violation of the Motorcycle Helmet Act, and violations of Republic Act 4136 after authorities confirmed that the rider allegedly did not have a valid
