Woman Expresses Dismay After Long Wait at Hospital in Malabon for Husband’s Checkup
A woman shared her frustration after she and her husband allegedly spent several hours at a hospital in Malabon City without getting a clear explanation of his medical condition.
Recently, Mitch Malate, a Facebook user, shared their experience online after bringing her husband to the Ospital ng Malabon late at night because of severe hip pain. The post quickly gained attention and received various reactions from netizens.
According to Malate, they arrived at the hospital shortly after 10 p.m. She said her husband underwent blood and urine tests and they were then asked to wait in the waiting area for the results.
The couple reportedly waited for around six hours before they were called at about 4 a.m. Malate expected that they would next speak with a doctor who could explain the laboratory results, determine what might be causing her husband’s pain, and provide the proper prescription.
Instead, she said they were directed to the billing area. After reaching billing, they allegedly had to wait several more hours before they were called at around 8 a.m.
Malate said she was surprised when they received their papers because they had not spoken with a doctor. She then asked where they could get her husband’s prescription. They were reportedly instructed to return to the nurse and present the papers from billing.

According to Malate, the nurse gave them the laboratory results along with a prescription for a pain reliever. She expressed disappointment because they went home without a clear explanation of what was causing her husband’s hip pain.
The experience left Malate questioning the hospital’s current system. She said patients should be given proper guidance, especially when they are not trained to interpret laboratory results on their own.
She also appealed to local officials to look into the matter and address what she described as problems in the hospital system.
