36-Year-Old Woman Nabbed in Entrapment Operation for Allegedly Practicing Dentistry Without License in Santiago, Agusan del Norte
A 36-year-old woman was arrested by police for allegedly practicing dentistry without a license inside her own home in Santiago, Agusan del Norte.
According to an Inquirer report posted at 3:29 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2026, the suspect was identified by police only by her alias “Lang-Lang,” a resident of Purok 3, Barangay San Isidro in the said town.

Police Regional Office-13 (PRO-13) director Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon said the entrapment operation was carried out on Friday afternoon, November 6, by personnel of the Regional Intelligence Division-13.
The operatives worked together with the Santiago Municipal Police Station and officials of the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) Agusan del Norte Chapter and PDA Mindanao.
Based on the report, an undercover police operative posed as a patient. The woman was reportedly arrested at around 4:00 p.m. right after the transaction was completed.
Seized from her residence were two dental laboratory motors, 14 lower dental impression trays, 272 pieces of artificial teeth, and various dental instruments.
The suspect is now facing charges for alleged violation of Section 33, Article V of Republic Act No. 9484 or the Philippine Dental Act of 2007, which penalizes the illegal practice of dentistry.
Suguilon commended the teams involved in the operation. He also reminded the public about the health risks of getting treatment from unqualified practitioners and stressed that dental services should only be sought from licensed professionals.
The case serves as another reminder for the public to verify the credentials of anyone offering dental services before availing of them.
