Gas Stations Set to Impose Another Oil Price Hike on Tuesday (August 25, 2026)
FUEL PRICE UPDATE – Different gasoline stations in the country are expected to implement another oil price hike next week.
Starting Tuesday (August 25, 2026), Filipino motorists may need to set aside a bigger budget for fuel next week as pump prices are expected to rise once again following continued change in the global oil market.
Here are the expected oil price hikes:
- Diesel: P1.75 to P2.25 per liter
- Gasoline: P1.00 to P1.50 per liter
- Kerosene: around P1.51 per liter

Fuel companies are expected to announce their official adjustments on Monday, with the changes taking effect the following day.
The expected increase comes just days after a huge fuel hike took effect on August 18, adding further pressure on commuters, drivers, and businesses that depend heavily on transportation. For many families, another round of price increases could mean tighter household budgets and higher daily expenses.
Analysts pointed to growing uncertainty in the Middle East as one of the main reasons behind the rise in oil prices. Hopes for a diplomatic solution between the United States and Iran have weakened following the expiration of an earlier agreement between the two countries.

Concerns over shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil corridors, have also contributed to higher market prices.
Adding to the pressure are disruptions affecting Russian oil supplies and continued concerns about the availability of alternative crude sources. These developments have kept traders cautious and pushed fuel prices upward in international markets.
Some industry observers noted that if diesel prices exceed the P2-per-liter mark, pump prices in certain areas could once again approach the P90-per-liter level. While projections may still change depending on the final trading day, motorists are already being advised to prepare for another increase.
