Heart Evangelista and John Prats Begin Filming Reunion Movie 23 Years After Their Love Team Days
Heart Evangelista and John Prats, one of the most popular love teams in Philippine showbiz in the early 2000s, have started shooting a movie together, GMA Entertainment reported. It is their first film together as solo leads, 23 years after they first became a screen pair.
Cornerstone Studios gave fans a glimpse of the first shooting day, held on November 5, by sharing behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram. One of the images shows the two posing with a clapperboard marked “JOHEART,” the nickname fans have long used for the tandem.

The movie is slated for release in February 2027. John will take on both sides of the camera, serving as lead actor and director. Jeffrey Vadillo of Cornerstone Studios is the executive producer, Irene Villamor is the creative producer, and Angel Tomas is the screenwriter, according to GMA Entertainment.
As a love team, Heart and John were best remembered for playing Missy and Yuan in the youth-oriented series “G-mik.” The show became a hit in the early 2000s and cemented their status as one of the most popular on-screen pairings of their generation.
The project follows a few recent reunions between the two. Last May, they appeared together in an episode of Heart’s reality series “Heart World,” where they reminisced about their early days in showbiz and their real-life romance. They also appeared in the music video for TJ Monterde’s hit single “Teka Lang,” released last June, per the same report.
Details such as the film’s title and story have not been mentioned in the report, so fans will have to wait for official announcements from the production.
For viewers who grew up watching the pair, the movie offers a chance to see a familiar screen partnership return after more than two decades, this time with John also guiding the story from behind the camera.
