Police Arrest Man in Caloocan for Stealing Motorcycle in QC
A 35-year-old man was arrested in Caloocan City after allegedly stealing a parked motorcycle in Barangay Kaligayahan, Quezon City.
On Thursday afternoon, October 22, 2026, the motorcycle owner had parked his vehicle in front of his workplace shortly after 4 p.m. However, he accidentally left the key in the motorcycle’s ignition, giving the suspect an opportunity to take it
According to Lt. Col. Timothy Aniway Jr., commander of Pasong Putik Police Station, the suspect, who had reportedly been watching the area from a short distance away, allegedly took the motorcycle and drove off.

The owner only discovered that his vehicle was missing when he came outside. The victim immediately reported the incident to police officers patrolling the area. Authorities then began searching for a stolen motorcycle.
Later that evening, police received a tip about a motorcycle matching the description of the missing vehicle in their area. Their investigation led them to the suspect’s garage in Barangay 175, Caloocan City, where they found the stolen motorcycle.
The 35-year-old man was immediately arrested. Police also discovered that he had previously been jailed in 2021 over a robbery case in Caloocan City.
During questioning, the suspect admitted to stealing the motorcycle. He explained that he had been looking for a job when he passed by the area and noticed that the vehicle’s key had been left in the ignition. He said he gave in to temptation and asked the owner for forgiveness.
The suspect is now detained at the custodial facility of Pasong Putik Police Station while facing a complaint for violating the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
