President Bongbong Marcos is definitely in good health after his recycled Easter photo shared online sparked speculations.
Easter Sunday is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and it often symbolizes hope, a new beginning, and renewal. On this day, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. joined Filipinos in commemorating this holy day, describing it as “the triumphant culmination” of Holy Week and the sacred proclamation of Christ’s Resurrection.
The president’s official statement read, “Let us build a nation where kindness is instinct and unity is our strength. For when we stand together guided by faith, bound by love of country, and driven by a shared vision, there is no challenge we cannot overcome.”
On Easter Sunday, on the other hand, the public was curious after a recycled photo of the president with his family was shared. This has, again, raised questions about the health state of the president.
This absence has prompted the president to skip an event with overseas Filipino workers in Quezon City earlier in the day.
“Definitely,” Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro told Palace reporters when asked if the President is in good health, and added, “Mamaya ay magkakaroon ng oath taking with the vice mayors.”
However, the Palace did not specify the reason behind the chief executive’s decision to cancel his attendance at the Department of Migrant Workers’ event.
To recall, in January 2026, Marcos Jr. was diagnosed with diverticulitis. This is a common condition among older people and those who are experiencing stress.
Meanwhile, the president previously shared that he will be spending the Holy Week in Ilocos Norte and will be back by the weekend. Castro said that despite being with family, the president will continue working.
