2 Escaped Dogs Go Viral After Running Along Busy Road in Pasay City
Two escaped dogs went viral online after running along the middle of a busy road in Pasay City, causing concern among motorists and animal lovers.
On September 2, 2026, two pet dogs became the center of attention online after a video showed them running along the middle of a busy road in Pasay City. The captured by Lianne, a third-year nursing student.
Lianne noticed traffic slowing down and became curious about what was causing the delay. When she looked toward the road, she saw two dogs running freely while a woman chased after them in an effort to bring them back safely.
As the dogs continued running, several riders and motorists stopped to help. Concerned for the animals’ safety and the possibility of an accident, many people worked together to prevent the dogs from running deeper into traffic.
One man even got out of his vehicle to assist, but he accidentally fell while trying to catch them. For nearly two minutes, the dogs managed to avoid being caught as they moved through the busy roadway.
The chase caught the attention of nearby pedestrians and students who also joined the effort to help.
Eventually, the dogs moved toward the side of the road and ended up near a group of students. With the help of everyone involved, the two pets were finally secured and brought out of danger.
Their owners, John Carlo and Jhen Celeste, later explained that the dogs had escaped after the lock on their enclosure was damaged. The pets were identified as Joe, a male Pomeranian, and Sethie, a female Pug.
According to the owners, John Carlo had just returned from buying dog food for their seven dogs when he realized that Joe and Sethie had gotten out. He immediately tried to stop them after spotting them on the road, but the excited pets continued running.
Fortunately, the two dogs were reunited with their family without suffering any injuries.
