A claim surfaced that Sara Duterte requested a meeting with Pres. Bongbong Marcos
Vice President Sara Duterte allegedly wanted to have a meeting with President Bongbong Marcos, and it was alleged that she intended to ask for two favors.
This rumor first circulated on social media back in August. Previously, VP Sara’s camp has denied the speculations.
Her defense trial spokesperson and counsel Michael Poa stated that the Vice President never ever thought about meeting with the President, based on a previous report from Manila Standard.

This rumor resurfaced recently because of the post shared by lawyer and content creator Jesus Falcis on his Facebook page. It was through a “blind item.”
“Bulong ng Multo: Kaya daw gusto makipag meeting ni Mary Grace nuon kay Bang Bang eh para hilingin na (1) wag syang ma-isyuhan ng warrant and (2) hayaan syang tumakbo as Mayor in 2028. Strong on the outside but crumbling on the inside?” Falcis wrote in his post.

In the comment section of his post, Falcis added that the exact offer was that she would resign and just let her run for mayor in 2028, in exchange for her silence.

This was shared on Reddit, and even though Falcis did not directly, a Redditor who shared this wrote this post title, “Sara Duterte allegedly wanted a meeting with PBBM before to beg him not to release the arrest warrant against her AND to be allowed to run for Mayor instead of President in 2028.”
In the comment section of the post, netizens have various reactions from netizens. Some believed and agreed with what the lawyer and content creator. On the other hand, some netizens pointed out that what Falcis said should be taken with a grain of salt.
“Take it with a grain of salt. I started to get disappointed in him kasi he’s just stirring up trouble eh. Yeap, ik ayaw mo sa mga Duterte, pero be factual naman. He’s lowkey spreading disinformation na din kasi and just rage-baiting eh. Wala na siyang pinagkaiba sa mga cheapstake na DDS vloggers,” a netizen commented.
Here are some other comments.
As of this writing, the camp of Vice President Sara Duterte has not yet released a statement about this allegation.
Meanwhile, an arrest warrant was issued against VP Sara over “grave threats” complaints. She posted bail, and she brought her own photo instead of having her mugshot taken. Following the issuance of the arrest warrant, the Vice President said that she felt unsafe, but the Palace stressed that the police would not harm her.
