Pres. Bongbong Marcos made this statement about VP Sara Duterte’s tirade
President Bongbong Marcos stays calm amid the recent tirade from Vice President Sara Duterte.
The President and the Vice President were running mates in the 2022 elections. However, the leaders of the UniTeam had their falling out as they were no longer united.
Eventually, VP Sara’s statement against PBBM caused her a legal battle. A warrant of arrest was issued against her over three counts of grave threats on September 5, 2026.
This was because of her alleged death threats against Pres. Bongbong Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and Congressman Martin Romualdez. She posted bail on the same day.
After this, the Vice President stated in her message to her supporters that what she is experiencing was political prosecution from the Marcos administration.
In her speech during a pro-Duterte rally, VP Sara also made a strong statement against the Chief Executive of the Philippines. She said that PBBM is “bangag, sinungaling, korap.” Once again, she called for the President’s resignation.
Based on the report from Bandera, the President gave a brief but direct response to the Vice President’s tirade. PBBM said that he is the primary target of VP Sara’s ire.
“I am the main target of that anger. What can I do? You cannot force anyone to love you,” the President said.
Despite the tirades from VP Sara Duterte, it appears that Pres. Bongbong Marcos does not wish to escalate the issue further.
Meanwhile, Pres. Marcos shared his tribute to his father, the late President Ferdinand Marcos’s 109th birth anniversary. The President shared the important lessons he learned from his father, such as the value of “Duty, Honour, and Country,” as well as the importance of living for other people and not for oneself.
