Man Vents Frustration After Losing Gadget to Thieves in Cainta
A man has expressed his frustration after his pouch containing important documents and a tablet was stolen from his car.
Authorities are searching for two men who were caught on CCTV allegedly stealing a pouch containing important documents and a tablet from a parked car in Barangay San Isidro, Cainta, Rizal.
The incident happened while the vehicle owner went up to the second floor of a nearby commercial establishment. CCTV footage showed that he had left the car running and unattended.

Shortly after the victim went upstairs, two men approached the vehicle. One of them opened the rear door and checked inside. When he apparently found nothing valuable, he moved to the front door and continued searching.
The suspect eventually took a pouch containing important documents and a tablet worth around P45,000. He reportedly hid the stolen items inside his shorts before leaving the area with his companion.
Another CCTV recording showed the two suspects arriving near the building before the theft took place. The victim believed the men may have noticed him unloading items from his vehicle and watched his movements before taking the opportunity to strike.
The stolen tablet has caused added concern because it contained personal information and documents used by the victim and his wife for various transactions. The family is hoping the device and important items can still be recovered.
After discovering the theft, the victim immediately reported the incident to the barangay and police. Barangay officials said the suspects may be outsiders and could be connected to a group targeting unattended vehicles.
Authorities reminded residents and motorists to avoid leaving their vehicles running or unlocked, even for a short time. People were also urged to stay alert and keep valuable belongings out of sight.
Security measures in the area have since been strengthened. Barangay officials and police are also conducting regular patrols, including overnight rounds, as they continue searching for the two suspects and working to identify them.
