25-Year-Old Man w/ Pending Theft Warrant Nabbed After Napping in NAIA Terminal 3 Departure Area
A 25-year-old man wanted for theft was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 after airport security personnel caught him sleeping inside the terminal.
According to a Daily Tribune report posted at 12:03 a.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2026, the PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP) said security personnel spotted the man napping along a hallway beside an airline ticketing office in the departure area on the terminal’s third floor.

When told that sleeping inside the airport premises was not allowed, the man reportedly became aggressive and shouted at the security personnel. This prompted them to ask for help from the NAIA Police Station 3.
Police then ran a check on the man through the E-Warrant System and found that he had an outstanding bench warrant of arrest. The warrant was issued on October 19, 2026 by the Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 2 in Lipa City, Batangas, in connection with a theft case, Abante reported.
The court recommended a bail of P10,000 for his provisional liberty.
NAIA Police Station 3 coordinated with the Manila Police District (MPD), and a joint operation led to the man’s arrest on Friday, November 6, according to The Manila Times.
The suspect, whose identity was not released, is now in the custody of the MPD for documentation and proper disposition.
In a similar case in September, a 52-year-old arriving passenger was also arrested at NAIA Terminal 1 after the PNP E-Warrant System confirmed an unserved warrant over a 2015 theft case, the Daily Tribune reported.
The 25-year-old suspect will now have to answer the theft case before the Lipa City court that issued the warrant.
