Will Bato dela Rosa Be Sent To The Hague? Wife Begs Authorities To Stop It
BATO DELA ROSA – The wife of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has called on authorities to prevent his possible transfer to The Hague.
Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa’s wife, Nancy dela Rosa, appealed to authorities not to send her husband to The Hague, Netherlands, amid the senator’s current warrant of arrest from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
In a Facebook post on Monday, May 25, Nancy emphasized that every Filipino should be tried within the country rather than by an international tribunal.

“Granting the people in power permission to voluntary surrender another filipino is an admission that you are weak and INCAPABLE of handling this case, thus the need for an international court to intervene,” said Bato’s wife.
She continued by appealing to those in authority to stand firm amid the issue surrounding the senator.
“You are a group of great minds. This is just another case sensationalized only by Politics. Please do not waver or give in. Please.”
Nancy also shared that if there was one lesson they learned from the case involving former President Rodrigo Duterte, it was not to surrender a Filipino citizen into foreign hands.
“Please do not give up your responsibility for our countrymen. Please fight for our sovereign rights. Your decision will be remembered in history. Please make it count,” she added.
The senator has been identified as one of the alleged co-perpetrators in the controversial anti-drug campaign proposal of the former president, commonly referred to as the “war on drugs.”

Former President Duterte is currently under the custody of the ICC in relation to allegations of crimes against humanity connected to his administration’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.
Meanwhile, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is reportedly searching for the senator and has leads on three possible locations where he may be found in connection with the arrest warrant issued by the ICC.
The issue has continued to draw public attention and sparked discussions regarding national sovereignty, accountability, and the role of international courts in cases involving alleged human rights violations.
As developments continue to unfold, Nancy dela Rosa’s public appeal adds another layer to the ongoing political and legal situation surrounding Sen. Bato dela Rosa, whose case remains one of the most closely watched issues in the country today.
