Woman Receives Criticism Online After Licking Hotdog & Returning It to Store Warmer in Convenience Store
A woman received heavy criticism online after licking a hotdog inside a popular convenience store and then placing it back in the food warmer.
The Facebook page Aling Tess “Ang Pambansang Marites”, shared a video of woman licking a hotdog and then placing it back in the food warmer at a convenience store. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, the woman was seen taking a hotdog from the warmer, which is accessible to customers through a self-service setup. After picking up the item, she appeared to lick it before putting it back among the other hotdogs being sold.

The video further showed the woman handling the food with her bare hands and returning it to the warmer as if nothing had happened. She was then seen taking another hotdog and placing it inside a long bun that she was holding.
It remains unclear whether the woman later purchased the hotdog she had licked or simply left it inside the warmer.
However, the incident immediately triggered negative reactions from many netizens who described the act as unsanitary, irresponsible, and disrespectful to other customers.
Many netizens expressed frustration over the possibility that another customer could have unknowingly purchased the contaminated food. Others stressed the importance of proper behavior in public places, especially when handling food products intended for sale.
The management said that any food or drink that has been improperly handled will be immediately discarded. It also warned that intentional tampering with food is considered a serious public health concern and may result in legal action against those responsible.
The company also encouraged customers to help maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment by reporting any suspicious behavior to store personnel right away.
