QCPD Had Profile of Driver in Viral Gas-and-Run Incident
The Quezon City Police District confirmed that they already have a profile of the driver in a viral gas-and-run incident in Balintawak.
Last week, the incident happened when a driver reportedly had his vehicle filled with diesel at a gas station but left without paying. The case quickly spread online and drew attention from the public, especially after CCTV footage of the event surfaced.
According to investigators, the suspect was first seen on camera getting out of a white vehicle along EDSA in Caloocan around midnight on March 22, 2026. A few minutes later, he proceeded to the gas station where the incident took place.

“More or less 5’2 to 5’5 yung height niya, wearing black shirt and pants at naka-slippers. Kitang-kita sa CCTV na lumabas siya at may chineck sa kanyang likuran. Isa pong magandang footage yan, malalaman na natin, ine-enhance na ng cybercrime group itong CCTV para lumiwanag at makita natin ang mukha niya,” QCPD director Police Brigadier General Randy Glenn Silvio.
Another CCTV angle showed that the rear license plate of the vehicle had already been covered, which raised suspicion that the act was planned.
Police described the suspect as a man standing around 5’2 to 5’5 in height, wearing a black shirt, pants, and slippers. The video also showed him checking the back of his vehicle, possibly adjusting the covered plate.
Authorities are now enhancing the video to get a clearer image of his face. Police teams have been deployed to different areas, including major roads and expressways, to review more CCTV footage.
Investigators are carefully tracking the possible route of the suspect by reviewing both forward and backward footage from multiple locations.
Authorities are encouraging the driver to come forward and explain his side to make the process easier. Meanwhile, police officers have extended help to the gas station worker who may shoulder the cost of the unpaid fuel amounting to over 5,000 pesos.
