Alan Peter Cayetano and Pia Cayetano had their trip abroad in the middle of the week?
Senators Alan Peter Cayetano and Pia Cayetano reportedly were spotted at Singapore airport.
The Cayetano siblings have been controversial these past few months, along with the tension that has been happening at the Senate. They are both known as allies of Vice President Sara Duterte, who is now facing impeachment complaints.
Both senators are also facing corruption allegations. Previously, Sen. Ping Lacson stated that he had pieces of evidence showing Sen. Alan’s alleged involvement in the anomalous flood control projects in Taguig City.
Sen. Alan strongly denied the corruption accusation. Aside from this, the Senator also faced NBI and Ombudsman probes over the P6.7-billion funding of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, and there was also the P55-million cauldron controversy. He also denied these accusations against him.
Sen. Pia was also accused of securing billions in questionable budget insertions in the 2025 national budget.
Amid the ongoing multiple responsibilities that senators have to face, Senators Alan Peter Cayetano and Pia Cayetano were spotted at the Singapore airport.
Social media personality Atty. Jesus Falcis shared yesterday several posts about the Cayetano siblings’ trip out of the country.
The lawyer shared some snaps from his sources. It can be seen that the Cayetano siblings even had some selfies with their supporters at the airport. According to Falcis, Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano, the wife of Sen. Alan, also went to Singapore. “Wow, ONE BIG CAYETANO FAMILY TRIP sila,” Falcis wrote in his post.
The lawyer also mentioned in another post that investigations were conducted against Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano. Then, Falcis cited the possibility that cases will be filed soon. As of this writing, the Cayetano siblings have yet to release a statement on this.
