Filipina Tourist Reports Alleged Bullying by Fellow Filipinos in Switzerland
A Filipina tourist has shared her experience of alleged bullying by fellow Filipinos while visiting a popular tourist spot in Switzerland.
Recently, Reamae Bagotsay, a Facebook user, shared her experience after visiting Iseltwald Pier with three friends. The group was enjoying their trip and waiting their turn to take photos at the scenic location.
Bagotsay said they were respectful of other tourists who were also lining up to take pictures. However, when it was finally their turn, they allegedly became the target of teasing from a group of older Filipino tourists who were waiting nearby.

Bagotsay’s video captured some of the comments made by the group while she and her friends were taking their photos. The remarks reportedly included complaints about how long they were taking, as well as comments that appeared to make fun of them while they posed.
The incident left the group uncomfortable during what was supposed to be an enjoyable vacation. The situation later changed when one of the women from the other group approached them and apologized. She explained that their actions were only meant as a joke.
Bagotsay said she and her friends accepted the apology and chose to forgive the group. However, she also used the experience to remind fellow Filipinos that how they treat one another can affect the way others see them, especially when they are traveling outside the country.
She encouraged Filipinos to show respect and kindness to fellow Filipinos wherever they may be. For her, being considerate can help create a safer and more welcoming environment for everyone.
Iseltwald Pier is a well-known wooden dock located along Lake Brienz in Switzerland. The scenic spot gained international attention after appearing in the popular Korean drama Crash Landing on You, starring Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin.
