No Major Flooding Recorded in Metro Manila Despite Heavy Rains Brought by Typhoon Uwan, MMDA Says

MMDA reported that there were no major flooding incidents in Metro Manila despite Typhoon Uwan.

On Monday (November 10, 2025), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported that there were no major flooding incidents in Metro Manila despite the heavy rains brought by Typhoon Uwan.

According to the MMDA, the Emergency Operations Center did not receive any reports of widespread flooding across the National Capital Region. While several areas experienced strong rains, most streets remained passable and manageable for vehicles.

The agency also reminded the public to be cautious about old flood videos circulating again on social media. They explained that some outdated clips are being reshared, causing unnecessary panic and confusion among people.

The MMDA advised everyone to always check the date and time of posts and to rely only on verified government pages and trusted news outlets for updates.

However, the MMDA confirmed that light flooding occurred in parts of Navotas City early Monday morning. Floodwaters along C4 M. Naval intersection were gutter-deep but still passable for all kinds of vehicles.

Meanwhile, knee-deep water was reported in M. Naval going to Navotas City Hall, making the road impassable for smaller cars.

As a precautionary measure, the MMDA temporarily suspended the expanded number coding scheme across Metro Manila for the day. It allowed motorists to travel freely, ensuring that essential workers and emergency responders could move around without restriction.

Despite the continuous rain, the situation in Metro Manila remained under control. The MMDA assured the public that their teams are closely monitoring flood-prone areas and are ready to respond if conditions worsen.
